Recently graphics driver update:

Explanation: When you update your graphic drivers you need to restart your browser to allow WebGL to fully work again - not restarting could lead the Virtual Backgrounds to stutter, freeze, and lag. 

Solution:
 Restart browser.


Web Camera is not accessible:

Explanation:
In rare situations browser will be not allowed to use Web Camera if another application is already using it. 

Solution: Make sure the camera is connected and turned on - Try to close other applications/browser tabs that also using the web camera like Google Meet, Zoom, etc...


Low-end Device:

Explanation:
Low-end devices (or very old) may struggle to use Virtual Background. VB functionality relies on a user's device to perform the required computation it requires some decent CPU/GPU power.

Solution: Try to switch the device if possible. Sometimes older devices can perform better in heavy computational tasks compared to newer devices intended to do basic office work.


Old application version in cache

Explanation:
If the browser cache has not been cleared there might be some conflicts between files in there. 

Solution: Hard refresh the page:

Windows/Linux: Shift + F5.
Mac: Cmd + Shft + R


Not supported browser

Explanation:
Some browsers show degraded performance when VB is enabled. This situation may change in a near future but at this moment Chrome and Edge handle the feature best. 

Solution: Switch to Chrome (or.. Microsoft Edge)


Other tips that may help:

Restart your device - a hidden process that was not closed properly conflicts with VB

Update your browser - typically browsers update themselves automatically but if this option is disabled then an outdated browser may be the cause of the problem.

Close other (not-required) open applications - if this works please let us know what program was causing the conflict

Sign-out and Sign-in

If problem is not on the list above or these tips didn't help please execute following steps to help us debug and solve the problem:

1. Using Google Chrome go to the page you were having the issue
eg. https://eventdemos.varian.com/meetings/abcdefg

2. Press F12 to open the Developer Console.

3. (optional) Execute the action that caused the problem - eg. enable Virtual Background
-
4. Take a screenshot of the entire browser (including dev. console) or - record the problem using a screen capture software.

5. Right Click on the console and choose "Save as" and save the file (it will have .log extensions).

6. Send us the log file and the screenshot/video recording.
